I do not want to put anyone down about working with animals. But my experiences with these is poor and moving my dogs away. My 9 year old boy went in after he stopped eating. 3 months prior we were told he had parasites. First comment we got was he is 9 yrs old, what is that even meant to mean. They tested his poo and it was parasite free. The vet said she was not convinced and we had to spend a fortune on several powders and tablets and then some liquid to inject into his mouth. We tried to put the liquid in but he attacked us, he was not letting anything near his mouth. He also knew the medicine was in the food. He then stopped eating the small amount he was eating. We took him back as he was losing weight and we were told to just keep giving him the tablets and try and get the medication down. We tried and he was literally going to bite us, he was teeth out and snarling. We called to ask for help, noone called us back. Vet wasnt in one day and then the next noone called until the end of the day after 4 chasers. We literally had medicine we could not give him and told to wait 3 days see how he gets on. We decided as he was not getting better and we couldnt medicate to take him to another vet. The instantly found masses on near his Splein or liver and booked him in for an operation. This is now possibly 4 months down the line and then 4 weeks since our appointment with him when no improvement. Really annoying experience for our pets and now out of pocket 300 quid for medication which could have done without now he has to have an operation. ** In reply** We said 3 times that he is not eating, he is scared and wont allow us near his mouth and was bearing his teeth with us and he is losing weight. The response i got on the phone Go buy some paste and give him 4 days to see if hes any better Completely ignoring he is not eating and we cannot go near his mouth as hes scared and was growling at us and the teeth bearing. He has gone onto Pallative care as his cancer spread and and nothing could be done as it has attached his Heat. The parasites that were prescribed back in April were not and he was fit and healthy then, leaving him for 5 days with no help also was not an answer. Whilst Im trying not to be critical, I spent over 500 on parasite treatment for a cancer. All about profit and so I lose 700 pound and my dog. Luckily the fantastic vet I found charged half the money for MRI scans, X Rays, treatments. And yes I do think the slack work here has caused this to spread. We found an amazing vet and wish we had gone there in April when he started and it may have been operable. They put my dog down with dignity, told us to go home and discuss what we want to do and then we can pay once we have decided and not shove a card machine under our noise. Stamford were amazing. Money over your companion sadly.

Me and my family would like to thank Adela and the team from the bottom of our hearts for all the care they gave our beloved dog Yoji during his years with you. Last week we had to make the awful decision to get him put to sleep but Adela ensured that we all had the time, dignity and privacy together for as long as we needed. The admin staff put out a candle and a poem at the reception desk so other clients and their pets knew to be quite at the time we were in the room. This helped us not be embarrassed of our tears. Adela explained thoroughly the options of his cremation and let me know where he'd be every step of the way. We received a deeply touching sympathy card with his paw print inside it from everyone at companion care which is just priceless to us and we'll treasure it forever.

I’m deeply disappointed with the experience my friend had at this veterinary clinic. While saying goodbye to their beloved dog — a moment that was already incredibly emotional and painful — a staff member approached them during the process to ask for payment. This showed a complete lack of empathy and compassion. We understand that businesses need to collect payments, but there is a time and a place — and interrupting such a heartbreaking moment to talk about money is both inappropriate and insensitive. Losing a pet is like losing a family member, and clients deserve to be treated with dignity and care in their most vulnerable moments. I hope this feedback encourages the clinic to reflect on how they handle such situations in the future, and to show more compassion to grieving pet owners.
