Hampton Veterinary Centre offers routine care (health checks, vaccinations, neutering and dental checks) and also sees a wide range of species beyond cats and dogs (including rabbits, small mammals, reptiles, birds and chickens). It’s also listed as a veterinary nurse training facility. Recent reviews include specific examples of problem-solving and follow-through—such as diagnostic scanning for a painful broken tooth and prompt dental treatment—alongside comments about support during serious illness and end-of-life decisions, including coordination with an out-of-hours emergency partner. A small number of owners report the opposite experience (a rushed consult, feeling pushed toward surgery, and fees/charging communication they found unclear).

Amazing service every time. Switched from another one as been messed around and my dog suffered with broken tooth they couldn’t see what was causing her an issue. I was sent to different clinics across the country and Hampton Vet carried out a scan and dealt with her tooth straight away. Would I have known earlier it would have saved my dog a lot of pain, me time and money. Cannot praise Hampton Vet enough for their professionalism and service.

I cannot thank sophie and dawson enough for today. I called a frantic mess at 8:15 and hopping to be seen just after Christmas, dawn was so wonderful and so incredibly kind and managed to get us booked in with the fantastic sophie, she was so kind and understanding and explained everything in such detail and more then that she eased my mind! I thank you both for all your care. You’re both wonderful women and fantastic and your jobs.

I had been a long-term client and stayed with this practice because I believed my dog was always well cared for. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was upsetting and disappointing. The appointment felt rushed and I felt pressured into immediately booking surgery, despite raising concerns about both the cost and my dog’s age being put under general anaesthetic. No other options were discussed, and I left the practice feeling uneasy rather than reassured. No fee was mentioned during the appointment or while I was at reception sorting paperwork, and I was allowed to leave without being charged. (as I am on the Pet Health Club plan, which I believed covered the appointment, I had no reason to question this at the time) The following day I was sent a quotation for the proposed procedure, which also did not include any charge for the appointment. After discussing the experience and my concerns with my family, we decided to seek a second opinion and cancelled the procedure. Only after cancelling was I sent an invoice for the original appointment, which felt like a penalty for not proceeding with surgery at this practice. I have since taken my dog to another vet where the consultation fee was significantly better priced, the vet spent more time with her, and all options were explained thoroughly. Overall, this experience felt more focused on fees than patient or owner care.

If you are looking for a vet in Peterborough , we would throughly recommend Hampton Vets . 10 years ago, we first took our scared and timid rescue husky to Hampton Vets. From the moment we walked in , they were fantastic , making sure she felt comfortable throughout a stressful visit for her. Over the years, they have shown nothing but kindness and compassion for her , remembering her each time and building trust. Having moved 3 times , we still took her to Hampton vets for 10 years , travelling 30 minutes to the vets , because we knew she was in the best hands and with people that truly cared for her. Unfortunately, earlier this week, she became very ill and we had to make a difficult decision , throughout the process , Hampton Vets and the out of hours emergency partner continued to show the kindness and compassion we’d experienced for the past 10 years, helping us through one of the most difficult things in our lives. This review is to say thank you for the whole team at Hampton Veterinary Centre and to let anyone know who is reading this, they will look after your pets like they are part of their extended family Thank you

I have given this vets a 3 stars as the staff are great and always helpful however, I do not agree with charging for prescription items at a 45% mark-up. £380 a year to flea and worm two cats through this practice or I can pay for the same medication online for £263.60. I also feel that the waiting times could be improved for booked appointments.

We are incredibly grateful to Hampton Vet for saving our beloved cat, Perla. The care, treatment, and service we received were exceptional from start to finish. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness. A very special thank you to Dr. Jessica Power, who was not only highly professional but also incredibly attentive and kind. Her compassion and expertise truly made all the difference in Perla’s recovery. Sending our warmest regards, Erika & Marius And a gentle “Meow” from Perla 🐾

Hampton Vets are absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend them enough. I have been registered with this practice now for 9 years and very impressed with their professionalism and services provided. As a GCCF registered breeder for ragdoll cats I attend the vets on a regular basis with my cats and kittens for them to have their health checks, vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worming treatments etc and I honestly wouldn't chose to go anywhere else. We also have a golden retriever we take too and the staff are absolutely fantastic with him. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming even when they are rushed off their feet. The vets and veterinary nurses are highly experienced, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable and clearly have a passion for animals which comes across and they always give excellent advice and information. The reception staff are absolutely amazing too and so friendly, they really do go above and beyond and are so organised and professional at all times. The practice is always clean and nicely presented with a selection of cat and dog toys, food and accessories etc which can be purchased. I absolutely love the seperate cat waiting area that's set up too in reception, it is a seperate area in the corner away from dogs to lessen any anxiety when they are at the vets with a raised shelf so the cats can be placed up slightly raised which they prefer (whilst in their cat carriers), there is a selection of blankets to place over the cat carriers if wanted to give the cats privacy and to block out any noise as well as feliway spray to make the trip less overwhelming and stessful for the cats. There are lots of good posters up with useful information for new pet owners. I would also highly recommend the pet health club which we use for our all cats and our dog, it is a monthly direct debit which covers flea and worming treatnent, annual vacinations, 6 monthly health checks as well as nail trimmings if this is not something your comfortable to do yourself, I may not have included everything...! They also do send text reminders to remind when flea and worming treatments and vacinations are due which is also really helpful. Massive congratulations to Hampton Vets for providing such a fantastic service to local pet owners in Hampton Peterborough. I'm so grateful for the ongoing services from yourselves towards our dog Hugo, all of our cats and the kittens. Best wishes Vicky - Aristodoll Ragdolls.
